Who we are

This is a demonstration website created by Vexora to showcase its website design and development services. Vex Tyres is a fictional business, not a real tyre shop. Questions can be sent to vexoraone.team@gmail.com.

What the website collects

You can browse the site without giving us any personal information. If you use the booking, quote or contact forms, we receive what you type in:

• your name, phone number and email address;
• details of your vehicle — make, model, year and variant, plus the registration and tyre size if you choose to add them;
• the services or tyres you are asking about, and your preferred day, time and way of being contacted;
• any notes or message you write; and
• a record that you ticked the box agreeing we may use your details to reply.

When a form is submitted, our server also receives your IP address, your browser’s user-agent text and the address of the site it was sent from. They are used to limit spam and to help us work out what went wrong if a request fails; the form limits how many requests one connection can send in a short time.

This website does not take payments and never asks for card details.

Stored on your own device

The tyres you add to your quote are kept in your browser’s local storage, so they are still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to submit the quote. The site also notes, for the current browser session only, that its short opening animation has already played. You can clear both at any time in your browser’s settings, and remove tyres from your quote on the quote page.

How we use it

To answer your request: to prepare a quote, arrange and confirm a booking, and contact you by the method you chose. The website has no newsletter or marketing sign-up and does not use advertising trackers. It does not use analytics trackers either.

Who receives it

On this demonstration site, form submissions are delivered to Vexora (the developer) by email and recorded in a spreadsheet, so Vexora can show how the forms work. No tyre shop receives them. Please enter example details rather than real personal information.

Third-party content

Pages that include a map (the home, about and contact pages) load Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies — see Google’s privacy policy. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps in a new tab.

The website itself does not set cookies.

How long requests are kept is not set out on this page yet. If you would like to know, ask us and we will tell you.

Your choices

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. If you would rather not use the forms, you can always call or email instead.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this notice

If the way the website handles information changes, this page will be updated and the “last updated” date at the top will change.
